Check it worked
You read a report, changed something, and deployed it. This tells you whether it made a difference.
On the report, under Going to try this?, there is a second part that says Already made the change? with a button. Costs 2 credits.
What it does
It scans your live site again, for real, and compares that score with the report you are looking at. About a minute, because it is a full measurement and not a lookup.
It does not compare the two numbers and stop there. It checks the gap against how much that page moves on its own, which the first report already measured. A page that swings 12 points between identical runs has not improved because it went up by 9.
The three answers
| Verdict | Meaning |
|---|---|
| It worked | The score rose by more than that page moves on its own |
| It went the wrong way | The score fell by more than that page moves on its own |
| We cannot tell | The move was smaller than the page's own movement |
We cannot tell is an answer, not a failure. It means the measurement ran and could not separate your change from the page moving by itself. If you expected a big win, that is worth knowing before you tell a client it is fixed.
You also get your old score, your new score, and a link to the new full report.
What the 2 credits buy
Not the scan. You can paste your URL again and get a free report any time, three a day.
What you are paying for is the answer: your old score, your new score, and whether the difference beats the page's own movement. That is the part you cannot do by looking.
When the button shows
On reports that have a Start here fix. If a report found nothing worth ranking first, the button is not drawn.
